¡@
Lecturers: Metropolitan NIKITAS
¡@
Description:
The course will serve as a general introduction to the liturgical theology of the Eastern Orthodox, as well as the reading, study and experience of the rich variety of services, Liturgies, Mysteries (Sacraments) and Sacramentals of the eastern tradition. The course will include lectures, readings, videos and attending orthodox liturgical celebrations.
Since the course presupposes a limited knowledge of the Eastern Orthodox Church, a presentation on the history and the basic tenets of the Church will be included. With this knowledge and the tools that will be offered, the student will have a better understanding of the universal church and the rich expression of diversity that exists.
