LC03¡@Contemporary Discussion on Biblical Inspiration
¡@
Lecturer: Peter CHOY, William LO
¡@
Description:
Christians share the common belief that the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, but they do not share a common understanding of how inspiration works. With the norms laid down by Vatican II, this course will investigate some of the ways inspiration has been understood in the course of history, and will examine their implications on canonicity, inerrancy and hermeneutics of Scripture. The goal is to equip students to understand some of the problems and issues, which are debated among those who hold differing opinions on the nature of inspiration.
